Goodyear Welt |
| The
Goodyear welt process has long been recognised as the
premier form of shoe construction and has not changed
in basic principle for more than two hundred years. The
Goodyear welt construction takes its name form Mr. Charles
Goodyear who developed the first successful machine, which
could duplicate the complex motions of the human hand
in sewing the welt to the shoe bottoms. |
Alvin Cotspin Limited manufactures Goodyear welt from
genuine imported and Indian hides, selected for their
high quality and suitability for this special product.
The process begins as a hide of leather which is cut and
graded, it then passes through our leather joinery to
become a continuous length. When this process is completed,
we have a quality leather strap with which we can manufacture
Goodyear welts in many widths and thicknesses. Please
contact us for sizes, colours and samples or any other
information. |
Rib
cotton welts are also made by us from coated cotton
fabric and moulded into required dimensions with insert
to form wall. This welt is stitched on the insole and
used for Goodyear construction shoes.
All you need to do is send us sample of your welt requirement
along with the dimensions, and design required and we
will send you the counter sample for approval to enable
us to start the full production. |
